(URS) was formed to provide trained
respite workers to families in the Capital District. |
WHAT IS RESPITE?
- Respite gives families a temporary
break from the continuous care of a disabled family member
who resides in the home full-time.
- Respite services are provided at the request of the caregiver.
- Respite can occur in the home or in a variety of community
settings.
- Respite occurs on an hourly basis depending on the needs
of the family.
- Activities are chosen based on personal preferences
